Is Pension Review right for me?

Planning for your retirement is a long term task and as your commitments, circumstances and employment changes so should your pension.

It is a fact that whilst your circumstances will have changed, so will your pension charges and the trading and service arrangements of many of the pension providers will have also changed. Vast numbers of Personal Pensions and Stakeholders were sold during the 80's and 90's by Life Companies with direct sales forces which no longer exist. If you took out a pension with the likes of Abbey Life, Allied Dunbar, Zurich, L&G, Norwich Union, CIS, Prudential or Phoenix, to name but a few, when was the last time you had a formal review of your plan? Probably never.

The charges applied to many older pensions are excessive, in today’s terms, and need to be reviewed and compared.

The investment performance of your pension is more likely to be poor than good because statistically that’s a fact. In addition, our own attitude to investment risk is unlikely to be mirrored by your pension fund and is therefore unlikely to have performed as you expected.

If your pension is managed by firms like Windsor Life, Phoenix or Capita then it is unlikely they are the firm you purchased your pension from.

If you have changed jobs then assuming the pension you left behind is OK is not a smart move. It will be too late to make changes when you retire.

A Pensionlite Free, No Obligation, Independent Pension Review and Recommendation Report will explain how good or bad your pension is and, if appropriate, give advice on how to improve matters.

You do not have to accept our recommendations but one thing you can be certain is that after you receive our advice you will either have peace of mind or know what needs to be done to put things right. Apply for your review by completing the enquiry box or call 01952 279 379 or e mail us at support@pensionlite.co.uk
