Transferring out of a Final Salary scheme/Defined Benefit Scheme is unlikely to be in the best interests of or be suitable for most people.
The value of investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.
Whilst transferring a Defined Benefit Pension can be complex, it’s our job to make it easy and simple for you. Our step-by-step process breaks it down using plain English and ensures you always know what’s happening.
Step 1: Eligibility to Transfer
Step 2: Documents & Planning
Step 3: Transfer Instructed
Step 4: Transfer Complete
After an initial conversation with our client support team, you’ll be assigned to one of our experienced financial advisers and an appointment made for you to discuss your existing pensions. We’ll also take this time to explain the process, timescales and reiterate that our fee is only payable once the transfer is complete.*
Then, we’ll ask you for all the documents we need, and once returned, we’ll take care of everything. We’ll let you know as your transfer progresses and keep you in the loop.
* there are exceptions, but this will be explained before proceeding.
REQUEST A CALLBACK
We will aim to call you on the number provided as soon as possible. This will typically be during our normal office working hours.
We’re pension transfer specialists and have been working on creating a seamless pension transfer service since 2008.

Our minimum transfer value for a Final Salary pension is £110,000.
However, if you have more than one pension or complex needs, we can make exceptions. Your circumstances are important in answering this question, so get in touch and we can talk through your options.
The fee we charge you depends upon the complexity of the transfer, the amount of work involved and the transfer value of the pensions involved. This number is tailored to your exact circumstances.
This depends mainly on the provider you’re transferring away from and how quickly documents can be processed by them. We have a team dedicated to tracking cases and following up with pension providers to ensure no case takes longer than it should. Many transfers are completed within six months, but there are several factors outside our control that mean we don’t have a broad answer to this question.
Book an initial consultation to discuss your current pensions and how we can help. There’s no obligation to proceed and there’s no fee due for our initial guidance.
Book an appointment at a time to suit you.
